Daniel Dewey Jr.

Daniel Dewey Jr., age 85, of Essex, passed away at Middlesex Hospital in Midddletown on Monday afternoon, Sept. 7. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Oct. 4, 1923, the son of the late Daniel and Edith (French) Dewey. Dan was a longtime resident of Essex and was a member of St. John Episcopal Church and the Essex Rotary Club. He was predeceased in 2004 by his wife of over 40 years, Grace (McConnell) Dewey. Mr. Dewey was a sales engineer working in the electronics field prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
