On The Fly: Finally, A Happy Ending On As The Yanks Turn

First, a quick recap of Tuesday's episode of The Old and the Restless: Jorge Posada was back in the Yankees lineup, at DH and hitting seventh. And he went 2-for-3 with a double. He couldn't bat ninth this time because there were so many other deserving candidates for that spot. … Reliever Rafael Soriano , advised by George Steinbrenner's son-in-law, Felix Lopez , to take a two-week vacation, went on the DL with a sore elbow. … Journeyman Chris Dickerson was called up and played right field, with Nick Swisher taking a seat. Phew. OK, now the game. Alex Rodriguez hit two homers, Dickerson had an RBI and the Yankees beat the Rays 6-2 to end a six-game losing streak. … The Red Sox were rained out, but we're still trying to find out if Adrian Gonzalez homered somehow. … The Mets, too, were rained out. Nice baseball weather lately, huh? Visit website
