On The Fly: Mets Still Waiting For First No-Hitter
Nice try, Dillon Gee. The Mets rookie took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before a two-out single by Nationals pitcher Livan Hernandez Thursday at Citi Field. The Mets won 1-0, but they still do not have no-hitter in 7,849 games since the birth of the franchise in 1962. There have been 35 one-hitters, five by Tom Seaver. And Tom Terrific threw a no-hitter after leaving the Mets.
